Luc Mattenberger is interested in the mechanisms which determine our ways of life, our ways of thinking. He examines current practices, such as mindfulness, which may lead to well-being and enhancement of human performance or to torture, depending on how they are used. He questions all systems – political, social, psychological – which constrain and limit. The exhibition at the Ferme de la Chapelle, designed to be visited as a whole along what may be called a dopamine pathway (a hormone secreted by our brain and acting like a reward), raises questions about the motives and ways of using conditioning methods.
